So I take it that the important thing is to get to know each other's minds and thought processes and feelings. And I take it that it is not pathetic to ask for it or combine the asking with seduction. I've never been comfortable with seduction as I'm nervous that it may end up badly.

Edit to add: you can tell this is a progressive and open-minded community. No one here has been overly judgmental or condemned pre-marital sex. Good for you. I'm glad we could have a respectful discussion on this without getting locked or anything.
