4. She was living with a boyfriend when she "went out" with DK.

Perhaps that's the guy she's now engaged to. You'd think they could have picked a woman who wasn't involved with another man for the "date."

Isn't it interesting that this stunt got more media coverage than all of DK's actions to prevent/ stop the war in Iraq? How much mention have they made of Dennis Kucinich's leadership of the Progressive Caucus, which got 60% of the Democrats in the House to vote against the war? Have they ever shown Kucinich speaking out against the war in Congress, at an anti-war rally, or anywhere else? Have they ever allowed a serious discussion of his proposal for a Department of Peace?

Isn't it interesting that another previously little-known candidate, whose opposition to the war has wavered (he supported Biden-Lugar, he supports the occupation and says troops will have to remain), is the one the media have publicized and refer to as "the peace candidate"?

Isn't it interesting that the media don't bother to take that candidate to task when he claims that he's the ONLY candidate who opposed the war right from the start? Or when he suggests that all the candidates in Congress voted for the war?

The media are selling the election. If people don't wake up and see this, the 2004 election will be "Meet Up the New Boss, Same as the Old Boss."

No matter how cynical I get, the media is way ahead of me.
