at least this is what I have narrowed it down to. I used to have a horribly dry and irritated scalp with most shampoos, but through trial and error I cut out this ingredient and it worked.

I use Jason Henna shampoo and conditioner, and I only wash my hair 2x a week. The combination of the 2 seems to be the perfect balance for me.

EDIT:

I just read that you said skin shampoo. Sorry about that. :) If you need a hair shampoo, though, that is a nice one.
For my skin, I only use soap on my, errr... "bits." A glycerin soap. In the winter, the rest is just cleansing water. It's the only way I can keep from cracking.
