You are treated differently depending on your income, your job, and how much money you have (or are perceived as having).

Only consolation I can offer is that people who tend to equate your worth as a person with the size of your bank account tend to be a-holes who suck up to people that they see as superiors and kick and abuse anyone they see as being below them.

For what it's worth, my partner just got laid off in a downsizing. We're kind of okay for now, but we can't survive on one income forever. It sucks. Hope things get better for you soon :hug:
