21. You might consider calling a hand surgeon. I have had splinters
that broke off and/or were unable to be removed any other way except surgically. One was already inflamed and hurt like hell (it was wood). Another metal splinter broke off when trying to remove it and that one had to be taken out immediately because it was near a nerve.

If the material is left to fester, you could get a nasty infection.

Worth a telephone to your doctor to refer you to a hand surgeon. They do amazing work! Good luck!
