I have the Animal. It definitely picks up more hair and dirt than my other vacuum. There are some annoying features, but I think the benefits outweigh them. That being said my mom got it through her employee discount and it was about half the price of retail. Check amazon for refurbished models. Since a lot of people don't like, I think they get returned a lot.
