Nothing like making a trauma even worse by hitting you in your pocketbook at the same time.

In my case I don't know how this fella even GOT these old checks. I was an Iowa resident, wrote the checks in an adjoining city in Nebraska, he was calling from Illinois, and his letterhead was from Missouri????

I told him I thought that was fishy too. He wouldn't mail me copies of the checks either, but he finally agreed to fax copies to me. (afraid of mail fraud maybe???)

I finally told him to take a hike. I didn't owe the damn money anyway. 3 years later he's threatening to bring charges against me?? I had been at the same damn address the whole time and never once did anyone ever contact me about this?? Kiss my ass!! ... come and get me..... And I never heard from him again. I KNEW he was blowing smoke up my ass. :D
