Long-time rightwing jarhead friend of mine admits he's gone anti-Shrub

Last night he said that he is sad that he voted for Fuckstick. We've been friends since high school, and I have always been the liberal and he's been the flag-waving rightwing republican reagan/bush/shrub-loving former marine who was not at all into nuance or ethical debate but saw the world very black and white, and we've basically not talked politics at all, because we've always known we disagreed on things. He's also not very, um, worldly, and has a very provincial outlook and upbringing.

I talked with him last night, and while he isn't ready to go Democrat, he did say he wishes he hadn't voted for Fuckstick, and that he thinks he's ruining the country. He lives in Wisconsin, and he also admitted that he actually likes Feingold. That totally floored me! Him, liking a Jew Democrat! But he appreciates that Feingold actually cares about the American people and about our country, unlike most people in government.

By God, I didn't think this guy would ever see the light or ever loosen the ties on his blinders.

YAY!
