My mother-in-law had the cool idea of buying a current magazine when each of her children were born and keeping it for them. So my ex husband has the May 1954 edition of one of those mags - Saturday Evening Post, or Look or something like that. Pretty cool and I thought it was a good idea. Gives you an idea of what things were like when you were born. Unfortunately, all my kids had already arrived by the time she told me that!
