272. I can't believe this has happened
Jeff,

Your cartoons and your posts got me through times when I didn't think I could stand it one more minute. You always knew how to put the "spin" on it to make it bearable. I often thanked you, but not often enough for you to know just how deeply you touched me, without even trying.

I saved many of your best finds. I saved the link to your site for those times when I needed a refill inbetween your weekly posts of toons. You will never know just how much those "islands" helped me to cope.

Thank you Jeff. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself and asking so little in return. I will miss you more than I can express.

For Jeff's family, please know that he was very much loved by many here and will be missed beyond even his wildest dreams. Perhaps this poem (not one of Jeff's, sadly) will help to convey what I am feeling. My thoughts are with you and my graditute for sharing him with us is as well.

----
Miss Me -- But Let Me Go
Unknown

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little--but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me--but let me go.

For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan,
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss Me--But Let me Go!

-----

RIP dear Jeff. :loveya: :grouphug:
