13. the private investigator who looked into kurt's death
It did not seem reasonable to Mr. Grant that Kurt Cobain should ingest triple the amount of heroin ever consumed by a human being without losing consciousness within a few seconds and still have time to pick up a gun and blow his own brains out.

At one time he had all sorts of smoking-gun type police reports, toxicology, etc. online during the early days of the internet. Don't know if the reports are still available.

Since Love is a professional drama queen/sociopath who had previously offered a man $50,000 to kill her husband (or so the putative hired killer testified), Grant came to believe that Love was complicit in Cobain's death.

I read his reports and I personally believe that Cobain ODed and that his friend panicked and then turned the gun on him, to make it look like suicide rather than accident. Apparently, it may happen out west that friend/dealers are occasionally prosecuted when they sell or give someone enough drugs to cause them to overdose, especially if they are present during the overdose. The person believed to be present wasn't Courtney, but a friend or perhaps lover of hers, and I am not going to name names, because he has not been prosecuted for anything, and perhaps he is innocent after all. The whole Rush experience has really opened my eyes to the huge quantities of opiates that it is possible for an addict to take without losing consciousness.

a sad event, however it happened
