16. i agree slacker has no plot
but i think that was what ND was ripping off stylistically. (though i think happiness is also a bit more of a source) to me there's a fine line between influence and forced imitation and i just get the feeling that the directof ND crosses it a lot

i think linklater was truly inspired when he made slacker over a decade ago, but to me the director of ND seemed to view a bunch of linklater-esque films and thought "hey, i can make weird people be in my movie, too. and they'll wear even uglier clothes in my movie!"


but that's just my two cents
