Reply #25: We have a problem with point #4 of the rules for DU groups.

So, it is not only necessary to have ten donors to start the group but only donors will be authorized to post in it. So, to me DU groups are more like private clubs or private forums than true forums.
I'm ok on the fact that donors are necessary to start a group (even if it will be difficult to us) but the fact that only donors/members of the group can post in it is a true obstacle to the developement of such a group IMO.

I'm still OK to help starting the group and try to make it live but I'm not confident at all concerning the ability for such a group to effectively work unfortunately. The rules are much too restricive to me.

It is strange because as far as I know I'm the only French DUer to be a donor. I have no pride concerning that star since I owe it to a kind american DUer who gave in my name because I refused ethycaly at the time to give money that could have been used during a foreign political campaign.
Now the presidential campaign is over so it is moraly possible to give to DU (and I will do very soon). So I suggest very humblely the others French DUers to give to DU.
