from Urban Dictionary:

slang for any "salt of the earth" type bloke you might meet in the street.

As heard in the lyrics of The Streets, a British rapper:

"But I get well leery when geezers look at me funny / Bounce ‘em round like bunnies"

"Geezers need excitement / If their lives don't provide them this they incite violence / Common sense / Simple common sense"
