I still can't figure out how the damn thing (it was a big nightcrawler) got in the house. My three don't go outside, except on the screened-in deck, but they still get their share of spiders and flies and moths. They are spider-killing machines, which is good, since we have quite a population of Giant European House Spiders (I call them baby tarantulas). The cats make VERY short work of the big spiders. Cappy seems to think flies are flying kitty treats. He'll kill wasps, too, but he somehow knows they're different - he approaches them entirely differently (ears down, he stalks them patiently, then cuts them in half with one razor-sharp claw, rather than just dropping one enormous paw on them as he does with flies). I don't know how he knows, but he knows they sting.
