I don't believe that there is one person with whom you will share a mystical and unbreakable psychic bond; that's just a romanticization of the kind of closeness that a very solid monogamous relationship can bring.

Call me an optimist, but I tend to think that over a lifetime, you may well encounter a handful-and maybe more than a handful-of individuals with whom you are unusually compatible in terms of personality, and with whom you can develop a strong and loving relationship (assuming, of course, that both parties are willing to work for it. Not always the case).
