4. they are in many ways the smartest dogs I have ever had
and they imitate me in a variety of ways. I tell her "I love you" about 50 times a day so she could be imitating that. Saw the talking Husky videos after I started to research this a little more, and it seems very possible. But I'm still in denial maybe. It's too weird but so are A LOT of things these dogs do. She loves pushing buttons on things. Even things she has never seen before. And if it is a button that triggers a human voice she will do it over and over. She hits the button on the answering machine about once a day. It's like she is checking for messages. She doesn't turn and look at me for reward when she does it. She will just sit there listening to the machine.

She hits the buttons on my printer and it beeps. She has a Fisher Price toy that is like the old Speak and Spell -- it has a wheel that spins and then it says "Baby" and makes a baby noise (which sounds more like a baby dolphin to me). It has "Cat" "Dog" "Mouse" She loves it! She will hit buttons on the middle of playback and make it jump so it creates sentences that aren't really in the hardware. Kind of like that toy phone video that went viral. But she makes this thing say "I love..Lamb!" Sometimes she will hit the button that triggers the sound of a barking dog and it's like she is Stephen Hawking! I have video of that but it isn't up yet.

She is highly social. Loves people, babies, other dogs, cats, birds. Has her head out the front window of our apt which overlooks the street and she just can't get enough. (I love her.)
