On Saturday, the hottest day ever recorded in the UK, I participated in a stage rally in south Wales. The ambient air temp averaged around 34deg C and my driver and I, along with all the other 200+ competitors were wrapped safely in 1 piece, 3 layer nomex racesuits and helmets. The car was running very hot all day so we had to have the heater running flat out constantly during the stages. The temp inside the car peaked at just under 50deg C!

I felt fine(ish) on Monday and Tuesday but now I'm totally drained. Why has it taken so long to catch up and does anyone have any advice on how to combat it?
