I can empathize my 21 year old kitty had to be put to sleep this year. Even when it's the right thing to do it still hurts. The vet sent me the most terrific sympathy card with a handwritten note saying she would have done the same thing and that I gave my kitty a good life, it was so affirming to my decision. Sorry for your grief. You did the right thing.
