Thanks for the post.

I, too, sometimes find myself frustrated with the "if you're a vegetarian why are you eating fake meat" question. I'm an oldster--I gave up the meat as a teenager in the late 80s. At that time, there really weren't many meat analogs. Now, though, there are. I can join a picnic with a notdog or a veggie burger, or have a fieldroast sandwich in my bag lunch, or share Unturkey at Thanksgiving. Am I fulfilling some basic meatlust by doing so? No, not really. It's just nice to be able to share in the traditions and activities that might otherwise be sort of closed to me otherwise.
