I have an interview!

It's not great but it's good...~$30K to be a store-based Customer Service Rep for a cellular phone company, benefits, 40-hour weeks, vacation(They're sending me to Somerset, NJ and Baltimore for a week-and-change of 16-hour training days...it'll be the closest thing to a vacation I'll have had in years) and I get to wear a tie! (I'm strange, okay. I went to private and prep schools all my youth; I feel naked without a collared shirt, a tie, slacks, jacket and spit-shined shoes.)

I haven't really been able to wear the dress finery to work for several years...restaurant work (I've done it all...cook, barista, bartender, server, host, sommellier, management...technically, I can't claim chef because I don't have the degree or apprenticeship but I've done that job too.) and commissioned paint sales are two job fields great for ruining clothes.

Now, I realize it's hyperbole but I do feel like I'm about to be set free from prison or purgatory. It'll be my first "real" job since the Literacy Council back in 2005, that job ended badly. Everything has been mediocre since then: work life, love life, social life, diet, sleep, fitness...mediocre.

I just wanted to share...please no well-wishes or prayers or thoughts, I already feel an embarrassment of riches to even have job offers and interviews when I already have a job and so many don't in this economy. I'll let you know how it went later; I was promised a decision on-the-spot by the recruiter.
