So, my job depends on the Town Meeting vote tonight.

We elect Planning Board members here in NH. I'm the planning Director in my Town. If the vote goes one way, we'll have a nightmare Board. If it goes the other, things will be fine and we might be able to get things done. Someone advised me that if the vote goes the wrong way, I can keep the job and "find other things to do." Like what? If I get the "bad Board" they'll want to pave over paradise...I'm not a "no growth" person but it would be nice to do things right, watch out for the wetlands and our aquifers (our sole water source) get well designed developments, control our traffic conjestion, have a community we can be proud of....little things like that! I'll know by 8 p.m. tonight. Send some good thoughts for me and this community.
