i was pretty far gone
blood glucose was over 500
no wonder i had been feeling so shitty for so long

i was immediately put on insulin
i use two different kinds now
the only difficult needle was the first one
its just part of the routine now

the insulin makes control really easy

my cholesterol was high too but lipitor took care of that damn fast
too bad about the side effects
my back got screwed up because of it but its much better now

my blood pressure got high recently but we are getting it back down now

in short there have been plenty of hurdles
and its a real learning experience
but three years later i have to say im feeling better than i have in a long long time

its not a death sentence
you can still eat what you love
the key is moderation

its been a blessing in disguise for me
