there is adequate non-resident on street parking (I still have NY plates and have lived here for two years:) It is about a 45 min T-ride if you take the C-Line all the way into Park Street and then back out to Central. Or, if you like the walk, you can take the B-Line to BU West, hop off, and walk over the BU bridge and up Brookline Ave. to Central Sq. Just a suggestion if the others don't work, it's free and overnight, and spots on Sat. afternoon are very easy to find.
