but I'm so sorry for what you are going through. I once worked with a young gal who was a Thalidomide baby. Both her hands were missing from the wrist down. She was amazing with buttoning, shoe tying, and feeding herself. Isn't a drag that your hand is numb, except for the pain sensations, what a dirty trick. I've worked with stroke patients that kinda have the same thing, no useful movement but a lot of discomfort. Best of luck with finding a solution.
