There's little so delightful in life as the languid commentary of a 5-day test match - the radio commentators on Test Match Special are even better, there birds on the outfield, cakes sent to them by listeners, breakfast in their hotel that morning &c.&c. all take on far more importance than the match, it's just like folk chatting gently for a few hours - sublime, utterly sublime.
