The playoffs and championships are a whole different level, though.

I'm a Yankees fan, but I would say them losing to the Red Sox in the 2004 ALCS after being up 3-0 would be up there as well for postseason.

I think there have been a few NBA and NHL playoff series' where one team was up 3-0, only to lose.

And, of course, the Bill Buckner through the legs choke in 1986...

And, the Sox losing the 78 playoff game at home after being up 14 1/2 games.

I'd also say the Jets beating the Colts in Super Bowl 3 was a choke on the Colts' part because they were so heavily favored. Weren't they well into double digits on the point spread?

Houston losing to NC State in the NCAA finals.
