15. what's missing
first place I checked was local shelters from Scranton PA and northern towns all the way down to Philadelphia, east to the New jersey and New York and Connecticut borders, west all the way to williamsport. We've spent hours calling, searching all the humane societies and animal shelters in PA

we lost our airdale last month, 11 yrs old, to kidney failure. We have two greyhounds, both adopted as adults

my partner will be out of a job at the end of next week. We have a window of opportunity to have the time to properly care for and train a puppy.

We need one that will get along with our cats and other two dogs. We like BIG dogs. We want a puppy, not a young dog, not an adult - a puppy

there are no puppies in our area available other than pit bull mixes, and we are not into pit bulls - we like the BIG DOGS - this is why we went onto pet finder and the 1800-save-a-pet sites.

we work with the greyhound rescue group - but all they take in are adult dogs.

we won't go to a puppy mill, nor buy from a pet shop. we are not even looking for a purebred, just a BIG DOG. Mastiff, St. Bernard, Newfoundland, Bernese Mountain Dog, Great Danes, Irish Wolfhound -- BIG DOG mix.

If we could find one locally we would adopt it in a minute - less than a minute.
