73. Why was it written?
I though it was because "Flip" Sloan and Steve Barri were on staff with Warner Brothers or CBS or whoever produced the show.

Sloan and Barri also wrote "Eve of Destruction", "You, Baby", "She's My Girl", "Let Me Be", "Debbie Be True" (a surf song with their band, The Fantastic Baggys), "Where Were You When I Needed You", and several others.

Sloan also has written stories, several about his travels to India and his studies of Hinduism and Buddhism.

Also, The Association did a song about him. Not one of their catchiest, but a cool song none the less.

Click here for P.F. Sloan`s web page.
