3. I thought it was popular simply because it was just so bad
The first time I heard it I just laughed at the idea that the song was actually considered music. Although I must admit the simple rhythm of the song isn't all that bad but the lyrics are laughable. You know it's funny when songs like these are embraced by the population we kill music just kill music just a little bit more. Hell when any community embraces anything that's medioacre as achievment you can wave goodbye to the prospect of anything of actual integrity being produced. I suppose that's why I love classical piano music, it's pure and involves actual excellence from an individual to play rather than songs like "My Humps" that seem to just be some record executive who knows to on count on peoples not thinking (as it would seem evident by the songs popularity) and just throws some bimbo with some seductive and sexually oriented lyrics knowing most of the populace will embrace this blatant display of mediocrity as excellence.
