22. Photoshop Effect
Can't remember which one, but yes, the original was blurry so I had some fun fucking around with it. I heart Photoshop.

I took them to the City of Palo Alto's clinic, where the vet does nothing but hysterectomies and orchidectomies (they don't call it "spay and neuter" and call them sterilized, which I like). This vet has an outstanding reputation, and just about everyone, broke or not, takes their animals there because of her expertise.

...and these cats didn't exactly find me. Thomas fathered a litter with Alice after he was neutered last year. I didn't know that like humans, cats remain fertile a few weeks afterwards. I took no chances this time, bit the bullet, ran up my charge card and had the rest of 'em sterilized.

Thomas and Alice are the result of their 12 year old mother getting outside exactly once in her life. Ramona was a tiny, tiny cat and she wasn't spayed due to concerns about her surviving the anesthesia. I didn't know she was pregnant until she was taking a nap and Alice came out of her. She ended up having a c-section to deliver Thomas. The vet was amazed that she could get pregnant and carry to term at her age. Sadly, the prediction about her not tolerating anesthesia was true; she died when he kittens were 7 months old. Ramona was a darling little cat.
