137. You never heard the term "let's go powder our noses"?
When one is of fine breeding and elevated social status, one is expected to come out in public with one's face completed. Lipstick, powder, and other cosmetic items are things one applies in the privacy of one's dressing room; if one would not lift one's skirt and relieve oneself where one is, one wouldn't apply cosmetics to one's face while there either.

In this case, the "fine breeding and elevated social status" I kinda question. Especially the breeding part. We are talking about a Bush, after all--hereditary Nazi and daughter of the richest trailer park trash couple in all America--so all of the rules of social conduct normally followed by the Filthy Rich don't really apply to her. But still...when someone of some means goes out to a formal affair like seeing her father re-installed as leader of the free world, her makeup should be in place before she walks through the door.

Someone somewhere else in this thread mentioned Chelsea Clinton. Uhh...Chelsea never did anything like this.

On the scale of atrocities perpetrated this day by the Bush clan, applying lipstick on the reviewing stand is very low--I've seen her mom's dress for the Black Tie and Boots Ball, and someone sang Let the Eagle Soar--but it's still something she should have known better than to do.
