I like him because his 'dark' past is one that was forced on him by his society and he obviously broke away from it and rebelled. Came to the light, so to speak.
My one problem is that they have an Arab character and they get an ethnic Indian to play the part. People just cause the guy got brown skin doesn't mean you can interchange him with whoever.
I remember a couple of movies from the 80s and 90s had problems because Arab actors didn't want to play the negative stereotypical roles in them....so they got indians or hispanics to play the parts.
He seems like a character they could have at least freaking tried to cast an actual arab in the role.
Still I like him. He's smart, and seems to be one of the few people trying to use his brain to figure out what's up.
