Is there really any higher compliment you can pay?
I remember his post about the sacking of the museums in Baghdad and how distraught he was about the burning of libraries and maybe the only intact copy of the Epic of Gilgamesh. He cared so much about people, art, history, literature...
And I remember meeting him at one of the protests in D.C. before the war. His knees were killing him but he stood up through four hours of speeches so he could march at the end. I was so impressed by his bravery and commitment.
RIP Scott.
