Once again, post your helpful hint to the younger, or simply less wise, DUers.
Mine in this edition come from the back of "Through the Years with Mason, Texas Cooks", 1958 Centennial Edition.
* To remove rust stains, sprinkle with salt and moisten with lemon juice thoroughly. Expose to sun.
* To remove ink from colored linens, soak in buttermilk. Expose to sun.
* To freshen used shortening, fry a sliced Irish Potato.
* To remove stubborn rust, boil fabric in solution containing one pint of water and 4 teaspoons cream of tartar.
