22. i dont think we are angry all the time
just think that the ball drop is not a necessity. part of the Establishment BS IMO. i have lived in NYC all my life and you couldn't pay me to stand in that crowd of people. you couldnt pay most new yorkers.

since 9/11 the security is nuts - manholes need to be bolted down along with mail boxed that need to be sealed and all kinds of other stuff in preperation and the amount of cops and helicoptors its incredible. its ny. we are a big deal. woopie. people are hungry here. people are homeless here.

And the cost to the city to clean up the next day is astronomical. and our city is not loaded. but it is tradition and it doesn't matter that schools in the minority areas are falling apart and people are hungry. i mean that. people in this city are hungry. we will find money to put on a show for the world because we are NYC and we are America. and even though we dont have any money for basic needs we will spend what we dont have on this.

i am glad you enjoy it though.
