The idea of rotting in a box for all eternity does NOT appeal to me. Neither does taking up land just for my dead body. I don't think I'm THAT important. I'd rather be scattered far and wide (I also don't want to be kept in a vase on my daughter's mantle).
Everyone in my family gets buried, but when I met my husband I learned everyone in HIS family is cremated and when I thought about it, I realized I liked that idea much better. Both he and I have it in our instructions with our wills.
