but without attempting any ordering, here are some movies I like very much...

Dr. Strangelove
Chinatown
To Kill a Mockingbird
Family Man
Groundhog Day
My Life As A Dog
My Dinner With Andre
Aguirre, the Wrath of God.
Unchained Memories
Das Boot

My wife was describing the misery of her upbringing, which was in fact unhappy, and I quoted "My Life As A Dog," and said, "You have to compare." Then we explained to our children all about Laika the space dog.

My wife agreed. Her in-laws weren't good parents but certainly there were and are many worse.

It's true. "You have to compare."
