I was wrong, and will admit it. (Contrary to a certain notable politician who couldn't remember any mistakes. But I digress.)

The NIV translation does indeed use the word "genitals", and in modern idiom it would translate: ...her lovers, who were hung like donkeys and came like horses."

However, she is not held up as an honorable woman. She is used as a type for extreme sin and stands for Jerusalem in a fallen condition.

My apology for my error.

Memo to self: Look everything up first. Don't go from memory unless you have to.
