Crazy for Christmas or just Plain Crazy?

There is nothing Germans love more than Christmas time. Across the country, collections of thatched huts pop up calling themselves Christmas markets and selling mulled wine, pretzels painted with hearts and stars, gingerbread in all sizes and countless useless Christmas trinkets. And, nativity scenes are everywhere --even where they are least expected. Speyer, not far from Heidelberg, however, gets this year's prize for most ridiculous nativity placement. At its Sea Life Aqua-Zoo, employees planned to stage a live nativity scene at the bottom of the aquarium's 20-foot deep shark tank. They had hoped to use divers as actors. But, the stunt proved too disruptive to the sharks and they had to can it -- at least in part. Instead, the staff placed plastic replicas of the holy family -- along with cows and sheep -- at the bottom of the tank. Visitors can now watch as sharks rub noses with the plastic Jesus. Our question: What's the point?
