talking to the guy personally. He sounds like someone outside the box in many areas and there was no mention of a church or group that influenced him. He and his wife sound to me like a back to the Bible/ back to the land couple. It was noted, for example, that he has a very long beard so that sounds Old Testament, too.

Christians who know anything about the Bible know their faith sprang from Judaism and Jesus was a Jew. Usually, even fundamentalists have a certain amount of respect for Jews, though fundies believe only Christians will go to heaven.

But, if he's just now deciding his sons need to be circumcised, he probably doesn't know a great deal about Judaism, wouldn't know what a briss is. Thank God he knew about 911.
