23. At my workplace, there are posters all over the place"Sexual Harrassment
is Not Acceptable"

Well, guess what, when I reported it to my female boss (!) about a colleague, she showered me with (fake) sympathy (which I mistook for real) and led me away from effectively dealing with it and holding him accountable! Lied to me that no other complaints had occured. When I finally found out through other means that I should go to Human Resources, I did. They asked if I had documentation ( I did), and seemed very serious in assuring me that they could check his computer archives, etc. (most of it occured through computer). Well, guess what else? After they called my boss in to speak to her their story with me changed;
THEM: "Oh we don't archive email, but we'll keep this on file so that if anyone ever complains..."
ME: "it wasn't email, it was through a website, his visits to the site should be on his computer"
THEM: "we don't archive email"
ME: "but it....." oh forget it.

And I've spoken to another manager there who let me know that he (all of them? I'm not sure) is aware that this guy targets young and/or vulnerable women. :wtf:

Guess this is slightly OT, but what hypocrisy!! What is up with sexism always getting a free pass?

Sorry if I got you angry about sexism again
