FABENS, Texas -- Two people who briefly landed their powerless plane atop an 18-wheeler before crashing onto the highway were able to walk away from the accident unscathed.
And the truck driver never heard a thing. The incident happened Thursday on Interstate 10 east of El Paso, Texas.
Police said the pilot and his wife were returning home when their plane developed engine trouble. Police said the engine died before the plane could reach an airstrip.
They then landed on top of the trailer before flipping over and crashing upside down on the highway. Police said the only damage to the truck is "a couple of skid marks up top."
