however, there may be some flexibility in the form of therapy.
Note that taking blood thinners puts one at risk for other things and falls - especially broken hips and head injuries - are a real concern since a hemorrhage is possible.
Will she be living alone or left alone ? If so, it would be wise to obtain one of those 'Notification devices' and the associated services so that she can signal for help in case of a problem. The hospital's social services might be able to advise you in this (their opinions on need and referrals) regard and there are numerous sources on the web. PM me if you want a few links.
I have not personally used them but did some preliminary research for an elderly friend.
