then you won't. Do take time to listen to that still small voice. Now may not be the right time. This may not be the right dog. Maybe you are just *almost* ready.

My suggestion would be that *if* you decide to take him be sure to get lots and lots of indestructable dog toys, and a crate that a little dog bed will fit inside for when you are gone from the house. You will enjoy your new addition much, much more if you get the right gear and talk with experienced dog owners at the very beginning. Don't wait until you have chewed shoes or wet feet (from unmentionable puddles inside the house) before you learn about setting appropriate boundaries with Fido.

Love *is* what it is all about and knowing how to help guide your new love toward the good behavior that you want will help a lot. Have fun!
