70. I played a Washburn Falcon electric like that in the 80s
It was a neck-thru body with twin dual-coil pickups, both with coil taps for the single-coil jangle of a Fender. Best of both worlds, really-- plus the great sustain of a neck-thru body. I got it because I saw Andy Summers of the Police playing one once.

The only problem was that it weighed a ton or two. It was my first
"real" electric, and I was only 13 when I got it. I was a small kid, and it was difficult to play after a couple hours. But still, it was a cool guitar.
