I live in the woods with a small pump to run the well which must be manually turned on and off.
I need to shut it down but it's dark out and the dogs have been barking like crazy (rare) on and off for a while.

Do I take the spotlight or add a firearm?

I'm in one of those 'this is just like in the movies when you tell the chick she's an idiot to go outside alone unarmed ' moments while thinking I'm just being silly to worry over a common chore.

What would Mama T do?
