Thank you, DUers! We never imagined that it would take less than 3 days to hit our target of 500 donations! You really came through when we needed you, and we are very grateful. I think we're going to be in good shape for the next three months.

But the fund drive isn't over yet! ;-) We've still got four and a half days left, and we want to see those donations keep coming in!

Now, the big question is... How HIGH can we go?

The fund drive ends at exactly 12:00 midnight Eastern Time on Sunday night. On Monday morning we will total up all the donations we received during the fund drive, plus all the donations-by-mail that arrive in our PO Box by 9:30 AM Monday. Can you guess the total???

HINTS: Usually, the rate which donations arrive slows down considerably in the latter part of the week. Also, the number of donations by mail is usually a small fraction of the total that arrive by credit card (approximately 5 or 10 percent).

At 2:10PM ET on Wednesday, we had exactly 521 donations. How HIGH can we go by midnight Sunday night?

Post your guesses in this thread. Type the guess in the subject line of your post, so it's easier for us to read. One guess per person ONLY, or you will be disqualified! The person with the closest guess wins!

NOTE: In the case of a tie, the people who are tied will be asked an additional question as a tie-breaker. Winner gets choice of T-shirt or other item of equal value from the DU store.
