19. Preacher Jack . . .

boogie-woogie rock & roll preacher out of Boston . . . been around for years . . . not much of a singer, but plays a mean bw piano reminiscent at times of the great ones (Albert Ammons, etc.) . . . also, the Radio Kings, a sort of tex-mex r&b group, also out of the Boston area I think . . . their album "Live at B.B. King's" is kick-ass . . .

on edit: might as well add Sleepy LaBeef, although he's more well known than the previous artists mentioned . . . old-time rockabilly guitarist, singer, and songwriter from Smackwater, Arkansas, who settled in New England after his bus broke down there in the early 70s . . . plays all over the region, generally with pickup bands consisting of Rounder Records artists and local musicians . . . has an amazing repertoire . . . can play for hours (and often does) and never repeat a song . . . if you live in New England, you've probably heard of him and maybe seen him . . . great live shows . . .
