views for Democrats but don’t stick around to defend them? These posters are people with respectable, but not high, post counts. They’ll lob a bomb like, “It’s paranoid to doubt anything the President says, and as a committed Democrat it worries me we will be viewed as paranoid.” Then there will be about 800 replies but the original poster doesn’t stick around to defend his position.

What I find most interesting about the Democrats who have such abundant faith in the administration that there are one or two issues that really have them “worried” for us. They can be found whenever these issues come up, consistently. Could it be that these unusual Democrats want to plant seeds of doubt on those narrow issues? And more importantly, have they succeeded? For example, they are very concerned that we not project any doubt about the Saddam capture, for fear that there would be PR problems of course.

I’m trying to be very careful to stay within the rules here, but I hope not too veiled. It is an issue that’s worth discussing IMO.
